ASC Rotary Atomizers

Since their debut in the mid 1980’s, ASC rotary atomizers have been a favorite among AG pilots. One main reason is the rugged, reliable design that has proven itself in applications worldwide. Designed by an AG pilot, the ASC is a result of more than 40 years of AG pilot experience flying different types of nozzles including other rotary atomizers. Also made popular by its low cost, aerodynamics and interchangeable spare parts, the ASC is truly the AG pilots choice for the absolute best droplet coverage.

WHO WE ARE

ABOUT US

The ASC Rotary Atomizer was originally developed by Mr. Cal Butler a veteran fighter pilot who was one of the early pioneers of crop dusting in the United States. Mr Butler spent over forty years using rotary atomizers and throughout this time learned the deficiencies of various designs this research eventually led to the development of the ASC Rotary Atomizer. Today the ASC Rotary Atomizer, available in both fixed wing and helicopter models, is recognized as the leader in aerial spraying and is in use worldwide. Since their debut the 1980’s ASC Rotary Atomizers have been a favorite among AG pilots. The rugged, reliable design has proven itself in applications worldwide in the areas of general agriculture, forestry, migratory pests, plantations, and public health. Made popular by its low cost, ease of installation, aerodynamics, and interchangeable parts, ASC is truly the AG pilots choice for the absolute best and most reliable droplet coverage.

OUR PRODUCT

ASC Rotary Atomizers

The ASC (Advanced Spectrum Controller) was developed to address areas not adequately addressed by other types of atomizers. The ASC was designed with several things in mind, simplicity, fewer replacement parts, long life, and reliability in the field. A high degree of aerospace engineering has been used in the development of the units. A shape that lends itself to the least amount of drag is obvious. The ASC units are lightweight, yet structural integrity has not been compromised. The ASC Rotary Atomizer has been designed to operate at airspeeds in excess of 200 miles per hour while continuing to excel in the low speed areas, as low as 30 miles per hour. In addition the ASC has a higher potential gallonage available for uses in areas such as fruit trees. The present range of the Model ASC-A10 is .13 GPM, through a range of 12 GPM per nozzle depending on the aircraft pumping system. For the Model ASC-A10 fitted with High Volume shutoff kit (ASC-50H), the low range remains the same but the hi-volume increases to 14 to 18 GPM per nozzle depending on the aircraft system and pump being employed. The ASC design is compatible with existing aircraft pumping systems and flow monitors making them an ideal replacements for other nozzle types. Operating pressures are extremely low greatly reducing chances of leakage or premature pump failure.
